Updated on 11/7/2011 for the iPhone 4S. This is my second custom iPhone dashboard mount. My first one was made mostly from aluminum and held the iPhone in the horizontal position which made the iPod feature difficult to use. So I made a new dashboard mount to hold my iPhone in the vertical position. This time I decided to make it out of Legos!
For several years I turned my parents’ garage into a haunted house on Halloween for the trick-or-treaters. Now that I have my own house in a neighborhood that’s full of kids, I decided to start up the tradition again. I already have quite the reputation in my neighborhood for going all out with my yard decorations and costumes on Halloween (2007, 2008), but this was the first year for a home haunt at my new house.
Each year I turn my garage into a haunted house for Halloween. This year, the theme for my haunted house house was The Toy Box and I made a new costume called The Experiment. The kids were out in force, and from the video below, you can see that my haunted house was a big hit with the kids and parents.
My Halloween costume for 2009! Inspired by Frankenstein’s monster (especially the version from VanHelsing), Johann Krauss from Hellboy II, and the steampunk style of mixing old with new. This isn’t a literal version of Frankenstein’s monster, but just generally using the concept of piecing together a creature from multiple sources.
