Halloween 2011

The 2011 Halloween season kept me quite busy. I joined a professional haunted house in Dublin, OH called The Scare-A-Torium. I made tons of great new friends, and had a fantastic time scaring the customers every weekend for the entire month of October. I wore “The Experiment” as my costume and continued to make changes and improvements over the course of the month. Read more »

Midwest Haunters Convention 2011

Once again, I attended the Midwest Haunters Convention in Columbus, OH. I hung out with Todd at the Fearscape Studios booth during the day on Saturday, June 4 and then attended the Masquerade Ball that night. I wore my recently updated costume called ‘The Experiment‘. I am very proud to have been selected as one of ten people for the Scariest Character Contest, and for the second time in my MHC history, I came in 2nd place! (The other time was with Jumbo the Clown at MHC 2009.) Seriously now, who do I have to throw in a deep pit in my basement to win 1st place in this costume contest?? I also want to congratulate The Tooth Fairy for winning the Ms. Scary Pageant. She works at a haunt in Cleveland, and her costume was sweet!

I think of this costume as a steampunk Frankenstein’s monster.

Halloween 2010

I turned my garage into a haunted house again this year. It consisted of a projection screen at the entrance showing various Halloween scenes, a pair of TVs showing “white noise” clips, and a table covered with real animal skulls and fake body parts. The final scare was a motion triggered metal grinder that made a loud noise and shot sparks. I wore my new giant jester costume called Freakshow.

Midwest Haunters Convention 2010

June 5-7, 2010 ~ I wore my Freakshow costume and my wife came along to take pictures. I’m impressed each year by the creativity and quality of everyone’s costumes… and their ability to party hard all night long.
